Allen can be found working hard to prepare the church for services from start to finish every Sunday morning. From his faithful service of coffee and refills to guests during the 8:15 service to clean-up of the church after the 10:30 service, Allen is there to ensure things go smoothly. He also helps with building care tasks as needed for weddings or funerals any day of the week.

Many people spot Allen as he takes church attendance during the services, but his duties also include such tasks as:

• opening up and lighting the church before services

• turning stop signs to control Tamm and Eichelberger traffic

• set-up and removal of handicap parking signs

• brewing coffee and stocking water cups for services

• picking up and setting up floral baskets

• clean-up of pews, sanctuary, and chapel after services
